Description

Step into a landscape entirely different from the rest of Sri Lanka. Horton Plains is a surreal, moody high-altitude plateau covered in wild, undulating grasslands, patches of thick cloud forest, and crystal-clear trout streams. The crisp, cool air and eerie mist give it an almost otherworldly feel.

The highlight of the park is the classic 9km circular trek. Along the way, you'll encounter the beautiful Baker's Falls, spot herds of massive Sambar deer, and finally stand at the precipice of "World's End"—a sheer, terrifyingly beautiful 880-meter vertical drop offering views that stretch all the way to the southern coast on clear days.
